About

Hello! My name is Jacqueline, and this is my music blog.

This blog will contain stuff that is both related to music and related to me, and probably some other miscellaneous type items that I strangely find interesting.

about my musical background

I play two instruments, the piano and the cello.  I have been playing piano since 2008, and as of October 2016, that adds up to about 8 years.  I have been playing cello since 2011, and also as of October 2016, that adds up to about 5 years.

I am an advanced student in piano, and an intermediate one in cello.  Currently, I favor piano a bit more as I see further promise in that instrument, but my tastes in the two may vary.

Because I am more interested in piano, that is what the content of my blog will mimic.  But don’t be surprised if you see cello stuff popping up once in a while!

I grew up in a music loving family, I guess you could say that I have been exposed to the wondrous joy of classical sound before I was even born.  Music is a crucial part of my life, and I really could not imagine how I would live if I did not have access to it every day!

about me

As you all may have guessed, my name is Jacqueline, and as of the day I am writing this, I am 13 years old.  I also have terrible grammar, in case you couldn’t tell already.  Aside from playing my instruments, I also have a passion for reading.  I love mostly all genres, even nonfiction.  Reading is something that has been along with me my whole life, and I find that I get a similar feeling when I am really deeply involved within a story as when I am having an awesome piano practice session.  It feels magical almost, and I know these two things will forever remain a passion of mine.

I come from a family of four.  I originally lived in Pennsylvania (US,) but in sixth grade I moved to the eastern side of Massachusetts (near Boston.)  There are tons and tons of great musical resources here, and I definitely feel very lucky to have access to a lot of them!

other?

I honestly have no idea what else to say.
